Reading Solutions is an individually customized one-on-one private dyslexia tutoring service using the Susan Barton System. The components of this method consist of 8 Levels that include systematic and explicit instruction in phonemic and phonological awareness, decoding, reading fluency, vocabulary, writing exercises, spelling and spelling rules. The dyslexia tutoring specialist uses multi-sensory (visual, auditory and tactile) pathways to provide multiple learning tactics.

Each student will go through the Barton Levels of instruction at their own pace. However, each student must master each Barton Level before advancing to the next Barton Level. The Orton-Gillingham based Susan Barton System is a very successful process using the latest methodology, and it is appropriate for kindergarten, as well as, grades 1-12.

Martha Williams at Reading Solutions recommends that each student receives 45 minutes of tutoring two or three times weekly in order to be successful in closing the reading gap that has occurred. We offer a free consultation so we can meet and discuss the Susan Barton System and to screen the student to determine the learning needs and the appropriate Level to start the dyslexia tutoring that will be effective for each student.
